Although the need to tab-out every five minutes to do something else is kinda annoying. Curse my lack of focus! Although, not really.
And, of course, I'm going to my dad's house for Christmas, so no drawing for a day or so. Bah. ...I'd be okay with it if I celebrated Christmas, but I don't. And I don't mean "Oh, I didn't buy anyone anything.", I mean "I didn't buy anything and I hope no one gets me stuff". Meh.

The time has come,
My Children,
For me to bid the night goodbye.
But know that I do not leave you.
Await the time when I join you again
After you have learned the wages
Of your vanity, sin and pride.
And mark well the heralds of my return
For I do not leave the affairs of my house
To be tended by the Children of Seth.
Caine's Confession At Lilith's Bosom
And I traveled for a hundred years before I found
My father's first wife
Whose blood I drank
And yet she was Awake still.
"I must talk to the One Above," I said
And she smiled.
"Talk to Him," she said,
"But know that he has turned his back on you
For your sin."
At this I cried thirteen tears of blood
And named them as each fell
When Lilith said:
"Why do you call our children's names?
They cannot
And will not
Help you.
They are nothing but other sins
Committed to make sweet Abel's death
Less sharp in your cold heart."
And to her I said,
"Mother, lover,
I cannot feel.
We made them to buoy me
And yet they drag me into [Hell]."
The Words Of Caine Before Entering The Earth
And I grew tired,
My dead heart heavy with all that I had done.
So I pledged to sleep until my wrongs
Had righted themselves.
With Lilith's knife, I cut myself and sang:
"From these open wounds
Life shall come from death,
As the last daughter
Bearing the mark of the moon,
Sends [Lasombra's] bane to the ashes,
Sends [Gangrel's] brood to the cold stone,
Infests [Nosferatu's] den with [snakes] and strikes down his wife,
And pierces the rest of my grandchilder
With the fires of the wise."
At these words, I sank
Embraced by the cold arms of
Lilith's garden.
Please [God],
Erase my folly
And end this.
I believe we've all seen what happens when I get bored. Found this while randomly surfing. Found it amusing, not sure if its correct. Meh.

I'm thinking of setting up the Tree of Life with Journals. Having Kether friends with Binah, Chochma, and Tiphereth, and the like. However, some of the SNs I'd like are taken, and some from fled users. I mean, I could call them Kether-Crown and Malkuth-Kingdom and the like, but that's not quite as dorky as I'd like.

There's a reason I avoid alcohol. It's amazingly toxic.
C'mon, someone else say something.
EDIT: More propaganda!
"The most noticeable is it's effect on the brain. It can migrate through the membrane surrounding the brain rather easily, and cause it's disruptions directly to the neurons. It gets to the receptors on the neurons, and attaches to them, blocking neurotransmitters from activating the neuron. As the amount of alcohol increases inside the brain, cells essentially shut down because they cannot receive signals. The more alcohol consumed, the lower the levels of brain activity, and the worse the ability to process stimuli and react to it.
It affects the outer areas of the brain first, which control higher level functions, such as reasoning. As those areas shut down, more primal, simple areas of the brain end up in control, unless so much is consumed that that area shuts down also, which can result in passing out or even death, due to disturbing vital functioning of the body.""

THE FIVE COMMANDMENTS (THE PENTABARF)
The PENTABARF was discovered by the hermit Apostle Zarathud in the Fifth Year of The Caterpillar. He found them carved in gilded stone, while building a sun deck for his cave, but their import was lost for they were written in a mysterious cypher. However, after 10 weeks & 11 hours of intensive scrutiny he discerned that the message could be read by standing on his head and viewing it upside down.

II - A Discordian Shall Always use the Official Discordian Document Numbering System.
III - A Discordian is Required during his early Illumination to Go Off Alone & Partake Joyously of a Hot Dog on a Friday; this Devotive Ceremony to Remonstrate against the popular Paganisms of the Day: of Catholic Christendom (no meat on Friday), of Judaism (no meat of Pork), of Hindic Peoples (no meat of Beef), of Buddhists (no meat of animal), and of Discordians (no Hot Dog Buns).
IV - A Discordian shall Partake of No Hot Dog Buns, for Such was the Solace of Our Goddess when She was Confronted with The Original Snub.
V - A Discordian is Prohibited of Believing what he reads.

"I'm looking forward to when bioengineering moves from technology to handicraft: biotech on the other side of necessity, where it enters the realm of nose piercing. People with tiny little goldfish swimming in one eye or feathers growing out of their backs. I'd love to be in a world where women grow penises because it is fashionable, or you can have an eye replacement of a different color or from a different species. All the adults will say, "Tut, tut, tut, girls never had penises in my day. We used to pierce our noses and lips. Why don't you do that?" And the kids will say, "Mom, you're so old- fashioned." All good technology should be used to piss off people's parents."

Charlie, Brian...and to a lesser extent everyone else that reads the blog (WHEN IT'S UP JOHN)...give art requests. seriously. I mean, I'm not going to show them to you, at least untill I feel confident in my ability, by I need stuff to draw. Because...yeah.
yeah. Try to be as detailed as possible. Keep in mind, though, if I do learn to draw, I'm doing to deluge you with mind-bending horror...in art form!!!!1 Yeah. so. You might not want me to learn.

Mmm, sweet sweet Morrowind. I'm sure John is very sad that he fixed my soundcard, because now he wants me to come over, and I'm addicted to Morrowind.
On that note...uh. Chaos Realms is alive again! Post on the message board there. 25500. There's one note there right now. ...Of course, John never checks this, and Brian/Charlie have 10 hours of net access a month, and...I'm not sure about Kate. Is there anyone else who's on this? I forget.
[EDIT]Oh, also Brian:

Well, I beat Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. Twice! Although it's kinda annoying how people still say Ryu has a low D-ratio when his is now 1/256, as opposed to 1/8192. But, uh...I have almost every cutscene unlocked/seen? I don't think there are any D-ratio doors that are locked higher then 256, so I should be all set this playthrough. Yes, I am going to try and get D-ratio 1/4. I'm not quite sure what the use of that is, but it should be good.
Also: I am going to learn to draw. I am posting this here so people can annoy me about it until I am good at it.

Alright, basic info: You have a D-counter. when the D-counter gets to 100%, you die. Game Over. Also, using various abilities raises it...Dragon Morph is 1.00%, using dragon abilities is 1.00% through 1.75%.
Now, I finished my first fight with the powers, and I had a 008.27% D-counter. We watch it. Dialouge:
(I don't really remember who said what)
"Okay, it's at 8.27...I hope it goes down."
"Oh, look, it's at 8.26 now..."
"Unless that's an 8"
"It's a six"
"...Now it's at nine."
"Charlie! Go look and see how you get the D-Counter down!"
*Charlie is in the other room, on Furcadia/miniclan*
"Oh, wow...you guys are screwed..The D-counter never goes down ever."
"In fact, it goes up every nine to twenty steps, and every time it's Ryu's turn in battle(even if he's dead)"
"...This game is evil"
SO YES. EVIL, EVIL GAME! ...not that this will spoil my enjoyment of the game. It's just evil. Sooooo evil.

At least thats how they teach it in Econ 201. And before you say "inflation" I'll say "stuff it, thats simply not how inflation works."
The problem, as I see it, is that people WERE willing to pay 20 bucks a CD, because they had no alternatives. Now that you can get songs in MP3 format for free, the record industry either has to give you something you can't get off the 'net (special feature CDs, etc) AND make their products acceptably cheap, or die.
Its how capitalism works, you greedy fucks. You got rich by it, and by God you can get poor by it. Deal.

You think you're depressed? Try this section from Hymns To The Night, by Georg Philipp Friedrich Freiherr von Hardenberg (translated to English from the original German).
Aside I turn to the holy, unspeakable, mysterious Night. Afar lies the world -- sunk in a deep grave -- waste and lonely is its place. In the chords of the bosom blows a deep sadness. I am ready to sink away in drops of dew, and mingle with the ashes. -- The distances of memory, the wishes of youth, the dreams of childhood, the brief joys and vain hopes of a whole long life, arise in gray garments, like an evening vapor after the sunset. In other regions the light has pitched its joyous tents. What if it should never return to its children, who wait for it with the faith of innocence?
That dude was depressed. Now go back to your pathetic little life. At least your wife didn't die of tuberculosis like GPFFvH's did."
dancing mania (1374)----Northern Europeans religious fad in which people danced uncontrollably for hours. They formed circles in streets and churches and leaped, screamed, and rolled on the ground, often shouting that they were possessed by demons and begging said demons to stop tormenting them. Caused by nervous hysteria and/or the wearing of pointed shoes.

Here then is a prime candidate for the fictional Serpentarius. But could it be finagled into a zodiac sign? Does it match the major criteria?
Ophiuchus crosses the ecliptic. It should indeed be a part of the Zodiac, a 13th sign.
Ophiuchus comes between Sagittarius and Scorpio, placing proper Serpentarian birthdays sometime around November.

For all of the random people reading, download this or just use telnet. if gMud, click on the 'plug-in' button, hit the add button, type in 'Chaos Realms'. Then, select the 'Chaos Realms' name in the list (probably the only one) and type in under 'Host Name:' cr2.dyndns.org, and type in under 'Port:' 2000.
...for telnet, you just hit ye-olde Start button, select Run, and type in 'telnet cr2.dyndns.org 2000'.
Yeah. Pretty much anyone logging on to the MUD when I'm on is gonna get advanced to level 55(Demi God). Note that you don't actually have to /do/ any admin stuff on the MUD... ... yeah.

The current weather system is three ints, those being hot/cold, windy/calm, wet/dry. There are things like lightning, but I think those things are packaged in with the ints.
I suggest a new weather system, with several more thingamabobs. hot/cold, windy/calm, wet/dry, rain_amount(for snow and rain and hail), lit_amount(for lightning), c_amount(for clouds), divine(for deity-assigned special types). Also, making control weather CONTROL THE WEATHER. yeah. and just more messages in general. I'll make some of 'em, if need be.

mmm, everything2.
mmm, spain.
...on another note, here is a reason why Satanism is better than Christianity (...John must be feeling a bit left out).
The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth
1. Do not give opinion or advice unless you are asked.
2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
3. When in another's lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
9. Do not harm little children.
10. Do not kill non-human animals unless attacked or for your food.
11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.
Also:
The Nine Satanic Sins
As developed by the Church of Satan.
1. Stupidity--The top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. It's too bad that stupidity isn't painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid.
2. Pretentiousness--Empty posturing can be most irritating and isn't applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyone's made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not.
3. Solipsism--can be very dangerous for Satanists. Projecting your reactions, responses, and sensibilities onto someone else who is probably far less attuned that you are. It is the mistake of expecting people to give you the same consideration, courtesy, and respect that you naturally give them. They won't. Instead Satanists must strive to apply the dictum of "Do unto others as they do onto you." It's work for most of us and requires constant vigilance lest you slip into a comfortable illusion of everyone being like you. As has been said, certain utopias would be ideal in a nation of philosophers, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, from a Machiavellian viewpoint) we are from that point.
4. Self-Deciet--It's in the Nine Satanic Statements but deserves to be repeated here. Another cardinal sin. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expected to play ourselves. The only time self-deciet should be entered is when it is fun, and with awareness. But then, it's not self-deciet!
5. Herd Conformity--That's obvious from a Satanic stance. It's all right to conform to a person's wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonal entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of many.
6. Lack of Perspective--Again, this one can lead to alot of pain for a Satanist. You must never lose sight of who and what you are, and what a threat you can be, by your very existence. We are making history right now, everyday. Always keep the wider historical and social picture in mind. That is an important key to both Lesser and Greater Magic. See the patterns and fit the things together as you want the pieces to fall into place. So not be swayed herd constraints- -know that you are working on another level entirely from the rest of the world.
7. Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies--Be aware that this one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something as "new" and "different", when in reality it's something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the "creator" and forget the original. This makes for a disposable society.
8. Conterproductive Pride--The first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The rule of Satanism is if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you've painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, "I'm sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow," then do it
9. Lack of Aesthetics--This is the physical application of the Balance Factor. It is important in Lesser Magic and should be cultivated. It is obvious that no one can collect any money off it most of the tome so it si discouraged in a consumer society, but is an essential Satanic tool and must be applied for magical effectiveness. It's not what's supposed to be pleasing--it's what is. Aesthetics is a highly personal thing, reflective of one's own nature, but there are universally pleasing and harmonious configurations that should not be denied.
In case you're wondering, I'm studying up on Satanism because I'm going to preten to be one when I Shadow Brian. You should study up too, because it's an interesting religion and most of what you know about it is wrong. Well, the "Church of Satan" one, the Christianity deritive Satanists are boring. Like, say, the whole worshiping Satan part? Not true.

It appears that a lot of energy is being spent to "prove" or "disprove" that the Bible condemns homosexuality and/or homosexual acts.
My opinion is that this is wasted energy.
No matter how clever an argument may be made, it is apparent that both mainstream Jewish and Christian thought over several thousand years has seen homosexuality as a major sin. Unless one can take seriously the notion that generation upon generation of Jewish and Christian leaders have all been witless dullards the counter arguments must fail.
The real issue here is "so what?"
What possible difference can it make that a text written by people who thought the Sun revolved around the Earth, the world was no more than a few thousand years old, and that illness was caused by demonic possession condemns homosexuality?
Given that the same text approves of slavery and damns eating lobster I can't take it very seriously as a guide to modern living."

This is a really big prime number. If you write in in base 16(hex), you get a gzip file of the C-source code that decrypts the DVD Movie encryption scheme (DeCSS).

I get to the Mall at roughly 8. Exactly 8, if fact. After half an hour of waiting, a decide to wander around the mall a bit. Come back a min of two later, and Charlie, and Brian(non irritating version). are walking around at the bottom of the escalator.
Wander around the mall. Decide to leave at 9:30. Go to the W parking lot, because Charlie parked the car 'on the floor above Georgia'. Wander around Hawaii, California, Nevada, and some others I don't remember. Realize that Charlie parked in the /other/ parking lot, on the other end of the mall. Walk to other end of the mall. Get to floor above Georgia (Indiana). Leave. On way out, Charlie exclaims "Is that a fucking IHOP?" And yare, it is. There is an IHOP right next to the Mall of America.
So, we go left on whatever St., and procede to get lost. This part I don't remember that well, but I will point out that we went in roughly concentric circles, and mirrored a getting lost driver that Charlie and Brian had also had the day before (or perhaps that afternoon).
So passed:
Minnehaha: 2 times.
Diamond Lake Road: 4! or perhaps 5.
Chicago: 4? 5? we drove along it for a while.
Portland: 3.
Pepitos: The times as well. Would of helped, but it was /not/ the Pepitos near my house.
At one point, we were drivering along 50th ST W (I live near 50 ST E), and we decided to go to 49th, instead, because we'd have a chance of hitting my house. Yeah, my fault. But anyways. 49th and York is a divider build into the 4-way instersection, dividing it into two corners for no real reason. We get turned onto another street. Charlie tries again a block later. Same thing. I say "The next block is another divider. Just go on 50th for another block. Well, two blocks, but...a block. You know." So Charlie does. He turns. We hit...ANOTHER DIVIDER. shunting us, if fact, into another divider and then back through another divider, and than back to 50th and York.
...Uh, soemone else clarify the rest. Like us ending up in Edina and Eden Prairie. ...And that building we passed four times.
[EDIT] And you can't forget when Brian was talking about how we should get on Minnehaha because we were on Portland and they were parallel. 2min later, we were at the intersection of Portland and Minnehaha. Yeah.
